“Growing Your Business with Gratitude”
DO: Say the 2 magic words “Thank you” sincerely and often.
DO: Establish a ritual of purposefully expressing gratitude in some way every day.
DO: Decide to write in a journal daily, in the morning or in the evening that for which you are grateful.
DO: Consciously choose acts of kindness towards others.
DO: Say thank you to those–family, friends, colleagues, housekeepers, mailman, doorman, and others who support you in any way.
DO: Say thank you to those who work for you, full or part time; contractor or employee.
DO: Appreciate what you do have, even the smallest thing.
DO: One random act of kindness every week– for example, leaving an inspirational note on a windshield or office mate’s desk, paying for the coffee of someone behind you in line, giving $5 to a stranger walking by on the street.
DO: Smile as you walk, you’ll light up someone’s day.
DO: Show and communicate your appreciation to others often.
RESULT: Rather than focus only one day a year on thanksgiving, gratitude and kindness, make this year the beginning of creating a new daily business success habit to demonstrate some act of kindness, or recognize that for which you are thankful and grateful. As you focus on these positive aspects in your life, more goodness will come into your life. So plan to take 5, 10, 15 minutes a day to document or express your gratitude and start with today. Take 5 now– write it out, make a call. Do something. That for which you are grateful grows. Your business will grow with ease.
