“Stop the Mind Chatter Now!”
Whoa! Have you noticed how your mind can really get going on a subject?
It doesn’t let you go. It keeps you spinning telling you things like…
“I’m not good enough. I don’t know enough. I’ll never get it. I’m not cut out for this. I’m not worthy. I can’t do it. Who would listen to me?”

All this negative talk! Wow!
Maybe you like this negative talk. It becomes an easy excuse to stay in your comfort zone, and avoid taking action that maybe you’ve never done before because, that’s scary. So you put up with the negative chatter.
But truly, do you want to stay where you are? Not grow? Be miserable. Because you are miserable when you say those nasty things to yourself. Let’s get real here.
What if, you did this instead:
You say: “I’m not good enough.”
You reply: “That’s the victim, “woe is me talking.’”
You could say instead: “I feel at this moment that I’m not good enough, but I know in my heart that I have great value to offer others. My mind has to catch up to my heart.”
You say: “I don’t know enough.”
You reply: “I don’t know everything. And that’s okay.”
You could say instead: “I’m learning, but right now I do know more than enough to help others. It’s quite selfish of me to not share my knowledge because I’m hiding behind “I don’t know enough.”
Do you get the idea here? How can you spin the negative phrase you are telling yourself to a positive one? You may not feel like you can spin it in a positive way when you’re feeling so negative, but this is a practice. So start practicing life affirming success statements such as:
I am enough.
I am worthy.
I have value.
I am awesome.
I can do it.
I can do it.
I can do!
RESULT: You can spend your precious time in self-deprecating, negative talk. But why? You weren’t put on this earth to bash yourself. You can’t be productive or in the mood to do good work, when you are trashing yourself.
If you still can’t get out of the negative chatter mode, then stop whatever you are doing and write for 10 minutes non-stop all the people and things for which you are grateful. This will help you shift your perspective about your current life and situation. It will be a quick fix to shutting up that negative monologue that serves absolutely no good purpose. Negative chatter is a pure waste of your precious time. Let’s work on a moratorium on negative mind clatter!
